Il Bamiyan Cultural Centre deve essere un edificio senza tempo, uno spazio capace di interpretare i desideri e le necessità di una comunità. Un’architettura che ha come ambizione principale quella di essere la manifestazione spaziale di un sapere collettivo, un luogo di condivisione necessario per conservare e promuovere la propria eredità culturale.

Il Bamiyan Cultural Centre è stato pensato come un edificio aperto, un sistema di spazi in diretta connessione con il paesaggio naturale della Bamiyan Valley.

L’edificio s’incastona between the high and low of the building site that has an approximate 10 meters difference.

L’idea è di realizzare una struttura composta di un sistema di archi continui allineati verso la “Buddha cliff”.

The Bamiyan Cultural Centre should be a timeless building, a space able to interpret the desires and needs of a community. An architecture that has the primary ambition to be the place of a collective knowledge, a place of sharing necessary to preserve and promote their cultural heritage.

The Bamiyan Cultural Centre has been designed as an open building, a system of spaces in direct connection with the natural landscape of Bamiyan Valley.

The idea is to create a structure composed of a system of arches aligned towards the "Buddha cliff".
